Yes. Injectable dermal filler increases girth without surgery, with published gains of 2.1 to 2.9 cm of circumference depending on material. It is a 30 to 45 minute procedure, and with hyaluronic acid it is reversible.
Injectable filler is the only non-surgical approach with published evidence behind it. Product is placed in the tissue plane beneath the skin — between the dartos and Buck's fascia — using a blunt cannula, typically through one or two entry points near the base.
The procedure takes 30 to 45 minutes under local or topical anaesthesia. Swelling settles within a week, sexual activity typically resumes at around two weeks, and the settled result is visible at about four weeks. See the recovery timeline.
| Material | Peak girth gain | Reversible |
|---|---|---|
| Hyaluronic acid | 2.6 cm | Yes |
| Poly-lactic acid | 2.1 cm | No |
| PMMA | 2.9 cm | No |
Temporary materials lose 14 to 19% of that by 24 weeks. Against an average erect circumference of 11.66 cm, a 2 to 3 cm gain is a meaningful proportional change — but it is modest, and it is circumference only.
With hyaluronic acid, the result can be dissolved. If a nodule forms, if it is uneven, or if you simply decide you preferred things as they were, it can be undone within a day or two.
No surgical option offers that. It is the strongest argument for starting here rather than with an implant.
Pills, creams, pumps for permanent change, and jelqing or stretching exercises have no credible evidence of producing permanent thickness, and several carry genuine injury risk. See the full assessment.
Fat transfer is autologous and sounds appealing, but fat reabsorbs unevenly and the AUA considers subcutaneous fat injection for girth to be unproven for safety and efficacy. We do not offer it.
If you measure within normal range and are troubled by it, read what average actually is first — most men seeking enhancement are already normal, and that is worth knowing before choosing a procedure.
If you understand the trade-offs and want the change as a considered choice, filler is a reasonable option. See treatment options.

Roughly 2 to 3 cm of circumference at peak, with temporary materials losing 14 to 19% by 24 weeks. Against an average erect circumference of 11.66 cm that is a meaningful proportional change, but it is modest rather than transformative.
It depends on the material. Hyaluronic acid lasts 12 to 24 months and can be dissolved. PMMA is permanent but cannot be reversed, and produced lower patient satisfaction in the largest published comparison despite giving more girth.
It is performed under local or topical anaesthesia and is generally well tolerated. Expect swelling and tenderness for several days afterwards, with bruising common at the entry points.
Neither produces permanent thickness. A vacuum pump creates temporary engorgement and has legitimate medical uses, but not lasting enlargement. Jelqing and stretching have no credible evidence and carry real injury risk including scarring and vascular damage.
Reversible, no general anaesthesia, recovery in days. Consultations are complimentary and confidential.
