Getting Here from Carthay Square

Carthay Square lies just southeast of us, roughly a mile away through quiet residential streets.

Routes

  • North on La Cienega to Wilshire, then a short distance west — the most direct path.
  • North on Fairfax to Wilshire, then west.
  • Via Olympic Boulevard west, then north on Robertson.

Five to ten minutes covers it. On-site parking and valet are available, along with metered street parking on Wilshire.

A Neighborhood That Values Preservation

Carthay Square is a designated historic district — its Spanish Colonial Revival homes are protected, and residents have spent decades maintaining rather than replacing them. That instinct maps unusually well onto how we practice aesthetic medicine.

Maintain rather than overhaul

The best aesthetic outcomes come from consistent, modest intervention over years, not from dramatic correction after a decade of neglect. Regular Botox, filler refreshed before it fully disappears, and periodic collagen-building treatments produce faces that age gracefully. Faces treated heavily and sporadically rarely look as good.

Preserve what is characteristic

We do not treat every face toward the same template. The features that make you recognizable — the shape of your smile, the way your eyes move — are worth protecting. Overtreatment erases exactly the things that make a face look like a person rather than a type.

Build your own collagen

Sculptra is popular with patients who think in these terms. Rather than filling with gel, it prompts your body to produce its own collagen over several months, so the improvement is structural, gradual, and lasts two years or more.

Why It Matters That a Physician Treats You

Los Angeles has more med spas per square mile than almost anywhere in the country, and the quality range is enormous. At many of them your injector is a technician working from a template, with a supervising physician who is not in the building.

At Modern Aesthetica, Dr. Daniel Moghadam is the founder and medical director, and he performs the treatments himself. That matters most in two situations: when something needs to be judged rather than measured — how much product a particular face can carry, whether a device setting is safe for your skin tone — and in the rare event that something goes wrong and needs to be managed immediately.

It also means you get an honest answer when the treatment you asked for is not the treatment you need. Patients regularly arrive asking for filler and leave with a plan that starts somewhere else.

What Carthay Square Patients Book Most

Carthay Square Patients Ask

About a mile — a five to ten minute drive. La Cienega or Fairfax north to Wilshire will both get you here. We are at 8907 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 270.

Typically modest Botox two or three times a year, filler refreshed before it disappears completely, and a collagen-building treatment such as Sculptra or RF microneedling periodically. It is less product per visit than a corrective approach, spread over more years, and it ages considerably better.

Conservative dosing and reviewing before adding more. We treat, then reassess at two weeks and add only where something genuinely needs balancing. Overtreatment usually comes from doing everything in one sitting rather than building gradually.

Sculptra is a collagen stimulator rather than a filler. Poly-L-lactic acid prompts your own fibroblasts to build new collagen over several months, so the volume that results is genuinely yours. Results take six to twelve weeks to appear and last two years or more. It is not reversible, which is why we dose it gradually across sessions.

Yes. Dr. Moghadam performs the treatments himself, so there is continuity — the same physician who knows what was done last time and how your face responded.

Yes, initial consultations are complimentary with no obligation to book treatment that day.
