Getting Here from Hawthorne

Hawthorne sits about 11 miles south of our Wilshire Boulevard office.

Driving routes

  • La Cienega Boulevard north straight through to Wilshire — simple, largely one road.
  • I-405 North to I-10 East, exit Robertson or La Cienega — faster outside peak hours.
  • Crenshaw Boulevard north then west on Jefferson or Rodeo.

Twenty-five to thirty-five minutes typically. Watch for SoFi Stadium event traffic, which affects the whole corridor.

Treatment That Fits a Working Schedule

Hawthorne sits in the middle of the South Bay's aerospace and manufacturing corridor, and the most common constraint our patients from here mention is time rather than anything clinical.

What fits in a lunch break

  • Botox — fifteen to thirty minutes, no downtime, back to work immediately.
  • Fillers — twenty to forty-five minutes with mild swelling; most people return to work the same day.
  • IV therapy — a contained session for hydration, energy, and recovery.

What needs a weekend

  • RF microneedling — redness for one to two days, light flaking around day three.
  • Kybella — significant swelling under the chin for several days to two weeks after the first session.
  • Thread lifts — three to seven days of visible swelling and bruising.

Tell us your schedule constraints at consultation and we will sequence treatment around them rather than around what is convenient for us.

Skin type still determines what is safe

Separately from timing, skin tone genuinely changes which treatments are appropriate. Aggressive lasers and deep peels carry real risk of lasting hyperpigmentation in deeper skin tones, while RF microneedling and PRP are considerably safer because neither targets pigment. Dr. Moghadam will tell you plainly what suits your skin.

Why It Matters That a Physician Treats You

Los Angeles has more med spas per square mile than almost anywhere in the country, and the quality range is enormous. At many of them your injector is a technician working from a template, with a supervising physician who is not in the building.

At Modern Aesthetica, Dr. Daniel Moghadam is the founder and medical director, and he performs the treatments himself. That matters most in two situations: when something needs to be judged rather than measured — how much product a particular face can carry, whether a device setting is safe for your skin tone — and in the rare event that something goes wrong and needs to be managed immediately.

It also means you get an honest answer when the treatment you asked for is not the treatment you need. Patients regularly arrive asking for filler and leave with a plan that starts somewhere else.

What Hawthorne Patients Book Most

Hawthorne Patients Ask

About 11 miles, a twenty-five to thirty-five minute drive. La Cienega Boulevard north is the simplest route; the I-405 North to I-10 East is faster outside peak hours. SoFi Stadium events can affect traffic across the corridor.

Botox takes fifteen to thirty minutes with no downtime at all. Fillers run twenty to forty-five minutes with mild swelling, and most patients return to work the same day. IV therapy is similarly contained. Avoid booking RF microneedling, Kybella, or a thread lift on a workday — those need a weekend or more.

RF microneedling is among the safest energy-based treatments for deeper skin tones because the energy is delivered below the surface rather than targeting pigment. PRP facials involve no heat or light at all. Botox and fillers carry no pigment-specific risk. Aggressive lasers and deep peels are where the real hyperpigmentation risk lies.

That risk — post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — is real but largely avoidable with correct treatment selection and conservative settings. It is much more common after aggressive lasers or peels than after the treatments we would typically recommend for deeper skin tones. Diligent sun protection afterward also matters considerably.

It depends on the treatment. Keloid history is a genuine contraindication for microneedling and anything that creates controlled skin injury. Injectables are generally fine. Tell us at consultation and we will plan around it rather than risk a bad outcome.
