Getting Here from Watts

Watts is about 14 miles southeast of our Wilshire Boulevard office.

Driving routes

  • I-110 North to I-10 West, exit La Cienega or Robertson — the most direct route.
  • Central Avenue north to Florence west, then La Cienega north — freeway-free alternative.
  • I-105 West to I-110 North — from the southern edge.
  • Metro: the A Line north connects toward the D Line at Wilshire/La Cienega.

Thirty to forty-five minutes depending on the freeways. Appointments are scheduled with extra time given the distance.

An Honest Definition of What Actually Works

Aesthetic medicine is full of overstatement. If you are considering a first treatment, the most useful thing we can offer is a clear account of what these procedures genuinely do.

Things that work well

  • Botox reliably softens lines caused by movement — forehead, frown lines, crow's feet. Three to four months per treatment.
  • Fillers genuinely restore lost volume and are reversible if you dislike the result.
  • RF microneedling measurably improves texture and acne scarring over a series of sessions.

Things that are oversold

  • Any single treatment promising a "facelift without surgery." Non-surgical options help mild to moderate laxity. Significant sagging needs surgery, and we will say so.
  • Creams that claim to build collagen. Most active ingredients cannot reach the depth where collagen is made.
  • "Permanent" results from temporary products. Only Kybella is genuinely permanent, and only for the fat cells it contacts.

What we will tell you

If a treatment will not achieve what you want, you will hear that at the consultation — which is free and carries no obligation. Pricing is given before anything begins.

Why It Matters That a Physician Treats You

Los Angeles has more med spas per square mile than almost anywhere in the country, and the quality range is enormous. At many of them your injector is a technician working from a template, with a supervising physician who is not in the building.

At Modern Aesthetica, Dr. Daniel Moghadam is the founder and medical director, and he performs the treatments himself. That matters most in two situations: when something needs to be judged rather than measured — how much product a particular face can carry, whether a device setting is safe for your skin tone — and in the rare event that something goes wrong and needs to be managed immediately.

It also means you get an honest answer when the treatment you asked for is not the treatment you need. Patients regularly arrive asking for filler and leave with a plan that starts somewhere else.

What Watts Patients Book Most

Watts Patients Ask

The I-110 North to I-10 West, exiting at La Cienega or Robertson, is the most direct route — about 14 miles and thirty to forty-five minutes. The Metro A Line also connects north toward the D Line, which serves Wilshire/La Cienega near our building.

No. Initial consultations are free and there is no obligation to book anything. You will get an honest assessment and clear pricing to take away.

That depends on what is bothering you, which is exactly what the free consultation determines. Often treating one area well costs less and looks better than spreading a budget across several. Tell us your priority and your budget and we will tell you honestly what is achievable within it.

RF microneedling and PRP facials are among the safest options for deeper skin tones, since neither targets pigment. Botox and fillers carry no pigment-specific risk. Aggressive lasers and deep chemical peels carry genuine risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and we would not recommend them for you.

Yes. Consultations here regularly end with a smaller recommendation than the patient expected, or with advice to wait. If something will not achieve what you want, you will hear that rather than a sales pitch.

Monday through Thursday 10am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 5pm, closed weekends. Call (213) 895-4730 to schedule an appointment.
