Getting Here from Hollywood

Hollywood is about 4.5 miles northeast of us — a straightforward run south on any of the major north-south streets.

Driving routes

  • La Cienega Boulevard south to Wilshire — the most direct route from central Hollywood.
  • Fairfax Avenue south to Wilshire, then west — good from East Hollywood.
  • Highland south to Wilshire, then west — works from the Hollywood Bowl area.
  • Sunset Boulevard west then south on Doheny — slower but scenic.

Fifteen to twenty-five minutes covers most trips. The Metro D Line at Wilshire/La Cienega is also an option if you can connect to it.

Treating Patients Who Work On Camera

A meaningful share of our Hollywood patients work in front of a camera, and that changes the clinical brief in specific ways.

Expression has to survive

Actors need their faces to work. Over-treated foreheads and immobile brows cost people jobs, so Botox for performers is dosed to soften rather than eliminate movement — often noticeably lighter than a standard treatment, with the brow left deliberately mobile.

Timing around bookings

This matters more than most patients realize:

  • Botox — book at least two weeks before a shoot. Full effect takes ten to fourteen days, and any asymmetry needs time to be corrected.
  • Filler — two weeks minimum. Swelling and bruising are unpredictable, particularly in lips.
  • RF microneedling — a week or more; expect redness for a day or two and light flaking.
  • 24K gold facial — safe two or three days out. This is the treatment for the week of.

Tell us what is in your calendar and we will build the schedule backwards from it.

Skin under lighting

High-definition cameras and hard lighting are unforgiving about texture and pores in a way they are not about fine lines. That often makes RF microneedling or a PRP facial a better investment than another syringe.

Why It Matters That a Physician Treats You

Los Angeles has more med spas per square mile than almost anywhere in the country, and the quality range is enormous. At many of them your injector is a technician working from a template, with a supervising physician who is not in the building.

At Modern Aesthetica, Dr. Daniel Moghadam is the founder and medical director, and he performs the treatments himself. That matters most in two situations: when something needs to be judged rather than measured — how much product a particular face can carry, whether a device setting is safe for your skin tone — and in the rare event that something goes wrong and needs to be managed immediately.

It also means you get an honest answer when the treatment you asked for is not the treatment you need. Patients regularly arrive asking for filler and leave with a plan that starts somewhere else.

What Hollywood Patients Book Most

Hollywood Patients Ask

About 4.5 miles, which is a fifteen to twenty-five minute drive. La Cienega Boulevard south to Wilshire is the most direct route from central Hollywood. Fairfax south works well from East Hollywood.

At least two weeks. Botox takes ten to fourteen days to reach full effect, and if any area needs balancing you want time for a correction before you are on camera. Booking a few days before a shoot is the most common mistake we see.

It can if it is over-dosed, which is why performers need a different approach. We treat noticeably more conservatively for patients who work on camera — softening the muscle activity that carves lines while deliberately preserving brow mobility and expression. Tell us at consultation that you work on camera and we will dose accordingly.

A 24K gold facial is safe two to three days out — it is hydrating and soothing with no downtime. Avoid injectables, microneedling, and any laser treatment within two weeks of camera work. If your timeline is tight, call us and we will tell you honestly what is safe.

That is usually texture and pore visibility rather than lines, because HD cameras and hard lighting emphasize surface irregularity. RF microneedling and PRP facials address skin quality directly, which tends to be a better investment than additional injectables for on-camera work.

Our hours are Monday through Thursday 10am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 5pm, and we are closed weekends. If your schedule is difficult, call (213) 895-4730 and we will do what we can to find a workable slot.
